Qbix 2020 Year in Review and Looking to 2021

by | Dec 16, 2020

What a year 2020 has been, huh? No one could have expected it to turn out the way it did. COVID-19 has been a game-changer for all of us. Every business and organization has had to work in new ways, requiring agility and quick pivots to keep up (Qbix included.) As a top outsourced accounting provider, our overarching goal is to help all nonprofits succeed. So, what’s the best way to do that? One word — information. We determined that sharing timely, useful information is the key to helping our clients, and really, any nonprofit succeed. Here’s how we made it happen in 2020 — and how we plan to continue assisting nonprofits in 2021.

Where we started

At the beginning of 2020, our primary initiative never changed. That is, “To help our customers fulfill their missions and goals by providing them with the right financial information on time, all the time.” Of course, we carry this out on a micro-level for our clients. But, we also do it on a macro-level via our blog for all nonprofits. We closely follow current events and publish a ton of valuable content. Whether a client or not, we aimed to provide excellent resources for nonprofits near and far. If you look at our blog, you’ll see in early 2020 that we happily re-introduced ourselves to those that may not know about our outsourced accounting services. We subsequently offered helpful tips on subjects like Form 990 as an effective marketing tool and better handling of grant management

Where we are now

You can see how our blog posts morphed into subjects around the pandemic during the summer and fall months. The outbreak presented significant challenges for nonprofits, so we published helpful fundraising tips for surviving COVID-19 and advice for how nonprofits can survive the pandemic. Our efforts turned to more proactive rather than reactive content, especially when it came to innovative ideas, like how to capitalize on rage philanthropy and compelling reasons to accept cryptocurrency donations. Unconventional stuff? Perhaps. And, whether you’re on board with novel ideas or not, it can’t hurt to be knowledgeable about your options. These are, after all, unprecedented times. Unprecedented methods may be what helps keep your nonprofit afloat while riding out all the crazy things happening around the world right now.

Looking to 2021

We’re excited about the new year and look forward to providing nonprofits with even more compelling, quality, and, best of all, free blog content in 2021 (and beyond.) Why bother trying to keep up with all the industry rags? We do all the reading and research for you. Be ‘in the know’ and keep “Behind the Q” bookmarked on your browser.

Now, as far as our own company is concerned, we’re excited and thankful to share that every one of our nonprofit clients has not only survived but thrived in 2020. What’s more, we were able to grow our client base by 40%. With that in mind, and to continue the same level of excellent accounting service, we plan to expand our team of experts in 2021.

We’re also looking forward to safely seeing people again. It’ll be fantastic to gather and talk with all of you. We can’t wait to get back out in the community and to attend partner events, like those offered by Sage Intacct, the Georgia Center for Nonprofits, GISA, and Blue Ridge Institute.

Even though we can’t meet in person (yet), we continue to take on new clients now and into the new year. If you’re a nonprofit that could use a hand with accounting, we can help. Schedule a free call to chat with our team of experts. It costs nothing but a bit of your time.

Happy new year to all. We look forward to helping you, and your nonprofit persevere, prevail, and prosper now and for many years to come.
